Climbing

At the Redpoint Indoor Climbing and Bouldering Centre in Cecil Street, Birmingham, there is something for climbers of all talent levels. Total beginners can book lessons or courses while more experienced climbers can take their pick from over 300 routes.

Cycling

Birmingham City Council is working to make the city bike-friendly with its Birmingham Cycle Revolution project. Meanwhile, there are numerous cycling routes available in the area, many of which can be easily found online.

Golf

There are several golf courses dotted in and around Birmingham that are open to visitors, subject to usual conditions such as dress codes and etiquette rules.

Edgbaston Golf Club was established in 1896 and has a challenging par-69 golf course situated just a mile from the center of Birmingham. Visitors are advised to phone ahead to check availability.

Harborne Golf Club is three miles away from the city center and, like Edgbaston, offers a stunning Harry Colt 18-hole course over a fantastic, undulating landscape.

Go Karting

Birmingham offers excellent Go-Karting venues that will instantly get you involved in some fast and furious action.

TeamSport Go Karting has a challenging 1000-metre track with 13 corners to test your skill levels. The venue offers EVO 3 200cc Biz Karts which are lightweight, responsive and fitted with Honda engines.

At Grand Prix Karting, individuals and small groups can hurtle around a spectacular floodlit outdoor course in 60mph Biz NG1 ThunderKarts.

Padel

If you enjoy playing squash and like the idea of “tennis with walls”, Birmingham is home to the largest padel tennis club in the UK. Padel Birmingham is situated in Waterloo Road, Birmingham (near Coventry Road), and offers 4 indoor padel tennis courts as well as numerous other activities.

Skateboarding

A mecca for boarders and riders of all skill levels is the Creation Skate Park at Moseley Road in Birmingham. There is over 23,000 square feet of ramp space on offer for BMX riding, Scootering, Inline Skating and Skateboarding.
